(VOVWORLD) - El Salvador National Assembly Chairman Guillermo Gallegos has declined Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s offer for El Salvado to host the 2017 Community of Latin American and Caribbean States summit, according to the EFE news outlet on Tuesday.

Gallegos said in an interview with EFE on Tuesday that the 2017 CELAC summit cannot be held in El Salvador because the majority of the people don’t approve it.
