EU countries and organizations have supported Vietnam in public management, health, the judiciary, agriculture, and infrastructure. The EU is Vietnam’s biggest trading partner, investor, and non-refundable aid provider. By maintaining dialogues, exchanging high-level delegations, and expanding cooperative areas, Vietnam’s relations with the EU and each EU country have made progress.
The Europe Day ceremony is part of a month-long “European Days 2016”, which will continue in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City until June 9. European Days features several "Europe Meets Asia in Jazz" concerts, an annual EU Film Festival, European Literature Days, a seminar on Vietnam-EU cooperation to deal with common challenges in green growth and sustainable development, the ASEAN-EU Science, Technology, and Innovation Days, and the European Food Festival.
