(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Consulate General in Vladivostok on Monday celebrated the 100th anniversary of the day President Ho Chi Minh first set foot in Vladivostok, Russia (1924-2024).

Attending the ceremony were the Consul General of Vietnam in Vladivostok, Nguyen Dang Hien, representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vladivostok city, and a large number of Vietnamese in Russia.
The ceremony was held at Versailles Hotel, where President Ho Chi Minh stayed during his three visits to Vladivostok.
Representatives from both countries affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh laid the foundation for the good friendship between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union in the past and Vietnam-Russia today.
The Vietnamese Consulate General in Vladivostok held a photo exhibition of President Ho Chi Minh's life and activities and the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Russia.
