(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang attended a ceremony marking the 150^th anniversary of the death of national hero Truong Dinh in Tien Giang province on Wednesday. In his address, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Ngoc appreciated his contributions to the southern region’s resistance against French colonialists.

He added that his example has helped to educate the younger generations on national patriotism: “The life and career of Truong Dinh remind us of Vietnam’s revolutionary spirit. We believe that the Party and people of Tien Giang will continue to uphold his spirit and unite in emulation movements in order to achieve this year’s development targets.”
