(VOVworld) – China has called on North Korea to stop violating UN resolutions after North Korea fired five short-range missiles into the sea off its east coast. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said China is deeply concerned about the situation on the Korean peninsula and hopes North Korea will stop violating UN resolutions.

South Korea’s Yonhap news agency said Monday that South Korea’s air force has been conducting a large-scale military exercise involving modern jet fighters which simulates an air strike on a North Korean military base.
