Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang criticized what he called an “abuse of export control measures” after the Trump administration issued an order requiring Huawei to obtain government permission for purchases. China urged the US to stop its “wrong approach”, saying it will resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
Huawei has denied allegations that Huawei has a hidden “backdoor” on the network of a major Dutch telecom company, insisting that Chinese firms always abide by the laws of the countries where they do business.
