(VOVworld) – China on Friday summoned Japan’s ambassador and had a serious talk after a minister and 150 law makers visited the Yasukuni Shrine, which honors the country’s war dead during World War II. This is the 2nd time over the past 2 days China has voiced its protest against Japan over Yasukuni shrine visit. Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said that the regular visits by Japanese cabinet members to the shrine is a "blatant attempt to white wash Japanese militarism’s history of aggression" and "China is resolutely opposed to that". Earlier, China warned Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe not to visit the shrine as Mr. Abe on Thursday sent worshiping items to the shrine.
