China to host trilateral summit with Japan and South Korea
(VOVWORLD) - China will host a trilateral summit with Japan and South Korea on December 24 in the Chinese southern city of Chengdu, China’s Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and South Korean President Moon Jae-in are scheduled to get together, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters in Beijing. The annual event has been suspended several times due to strained relations between Tokyo and Seoul over compensation for wartime labor, as well as trade and security issues.
