(VOVworld) – Cuba will begin extending some Cuban citizens' expired passports despite their inability to find a US bank which will allow them to open an account.

Cuba's de facto embassy in Washington told reporters on Tuesday that the first beneficiaries will be holders of passports that have expired or are about to expire who are scheduled to visit Cuba from May 15 to August 31.

The consular services will be provided with the help of travel agencies.
