Cuba, Vietnam tighten military cooperation
(VOVworld) - A senior delegation from the Ministry of National Defence led by Deputy Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty paid a working visit to Cuba on October 25-28 to tighten cooperative relations between the two armies and nations.

At the reception for Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty who is also chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Cuban President Raul Castro underlined his determination to strengthen the time-honored relationship between Vietnamese and Cuban armed forces. The Cuban President expressed delight at the in-depth cooperation between the two nations in national defense and affirmed that the fruitful cooperation will contribute to enhancing their national safeguarding capacity. Mr. Raul Castro emphasized that military cooperation will be the symbol of faithful and friendship cooperation between the two States and nations.
Earlier, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty held talks with Cuban military chief Gen. Leopoldo Cintra Frias and Alvaro Lopez Miera, Cuban Deputy Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces.
