At the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien said the celebration intends to inspire responsibility for preserving Vietnamese cultural identities and promoting Vietnam’s great national unity.

Huynh Huu Thai, a festival participant from Quang Ngai province, said: “Vietnam has a large number of ethnic minority groups, which requires our efforts to preserve this diversity of culture while strengthening Vietnam’s great national unity. I’m happy that we have these activities to promote ethnic groups. I hope they will be held annually.”
