(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s government and people highly appreciated the Czech-Vietnam Society’s activities over the years, said Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ho Minh Tuan at the 21st Congress of the Society in Prague on Saturday.

In his report, President of the Czech-Vietnam Society Marcel Winter said: "Over the past 20 years of its operation, the Czech-Vietnam Society have always supported Vietnamese people and valued the friendship between the two peoples. We will all together fight for the benefits of Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic."
Ambassador Tuan said he values the Society’s contributions to enhancing friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples, adding he looks forward to further activities to promote the image of Vietnam in the Czech Republic as well as the traditional friendly relations between the two countries.

Nguyen Duy Nhien, Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic, said: "For 20 years, the Czech-Vietnam Society has worked with us to integrate Vietnamese into the local society and protect our legitimate rights. They help connect Vietnamese people in Czech and the Czech people."
The Czech-Vietnam Society will work with the Czech authority on simplifying visa procedure and continue to promote Vietnam’s culture as well as Vietnamese people’s achievements in the Czech Republic.
