(VOVworld) – Japan now tops foreign investors in Da Nang City with 115 projects worth nearly 400 million USD. Most projects focus on the mechanical engineering industry, IT, communications, and service.

Japanese businesses praise Da Nang’s investment climate and say they hope for long-term cooperation with the city.

Matsumoto Hideshisa, head of the Hokkaido Mechanical Engineering Industry Association, said Japanese enterprises particularly want to look for young personnel to transfer advanced technologies in the field.

“We plan to work with Vietnamese companies, especially those in Da Nang, to find business opportunities. We can cooperate with Vietnamese partners to bring made-in-Japan products to Vietnam or to apply our technologies to production in Vietnam for later export to Japan,” said Matsumoto Hideshisa.
