(VOVworld) – Defining the role of community colleges in Vietnam’s educational system will help Vietnam train high-quality human resources for the national economy, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said at a meeting Tuesday with the Vietnam Association of Community Colleges (VACC).

He urged community colleges to become more self-directed, improve their connectivity with local enterprises, and match training to labour market demand. The Deputy Prime Minister called on the Ministry of Education and Training to provide incentives to community colleges and support municipal departments of education and training in managing community colleges.
