(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host the 18^th national conference on foreign affairs on August 21 to boost the efficiency of local diplomacy for national development and international integration.

During the conference, officials from localities, ministries, branches, and Vietnamese representative offices abroad, will discuss the implementation of tasks set out by the previous conference in December 2013. Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung said foreign affairs at local level have made progress in such areas as politics, economics, border and territory, and exchanges. Trung praised localities for their proactive coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in fulfilling tasks related to culture, information, and overseas Vietnamese affairs.
