The Deputy Minister said Tuesday at the UN Security Council’s online debate on “Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace: Contemporary Drivers of Conflict and Insecurity”, that multilateralism must be enhanced and the UN needs to strengthen its partnership with regional organizations. The UNSC must also address the root causes of conflict, he said, and be engaged at every stage, from prevention to providing early warnings to proposing solutions for post-conflict recovery and sustainable development.

Deputy FM Trung said Vietnam has been a reliable partner for peace and sustainable development and is ready to contribute responsibly to international efforts to meet the era’s challenges.
