He noted that the two sides should promote cooperation in various areas including agriculture, construction materials, consumer goods, renewable energy, and biotechnology, while supporting each other within international organisations, especially the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement.
The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Minh hosted a reception for a delegation from the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union led by its Secretary, Sonethanou Thammavong.
Mr. Minh spoke highly of the 2017 Vietnam-Laos Youth Exchange Program, adding that the event will contribute to the celebration of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation and boost the communications and education of the younger generation about the special relationship and traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
The Deputy PM said he believes that with dynamism, enthusiasm, and creativity, the two youth union central committees will continue to improve cooperation programs.
