At the meeting of the National Committee for the Elderly in Hanoi on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Ha asked the Committee to proactively and promptly advise the Party and State on the care of the elderly. The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs should review and build an accurate database on the elderly for policy implementation, he said.
“This year, more attention must be paid to creating conditions for the elderly to contribute to the society. Elderly protection legislation is already in place, so the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, on the basis of the remarks made at this meeting, should work out priorities and what should be done in the coming time,” according to Deputy PM Ha.
