(VOVworld) – Developing a family doctor model associated with clinics was a target set at a meeting to duplicate this model in Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province on Tuesday.

The meeting held by the Ministry of Health drew the participation of development cooperation agencies, UN organizations, International Development Banks, non-governmental organizations working in the medical sector, and medical departments. The participants shared experiences on developing the family doctor model in Vietnam. They also stressed the need to enhance clinics’ operations to increase people’s access to medical services.
