(VOVworld) – Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan presented scholarships to disadvantaged students at a Sunday ceremony held by the Nam Dinh Learning Promotion Association.

More than a thousand outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds—some are orphans or children of soldiers on the Truong Sa island and coast guard forces—were granted scholarships worth 100 USD. The Nam Dinh Learning Promotion Association also presented university scholarships worth 500 USD each to 5 disadvantaged, but outstanding freshmen.
