(VOVworld) - China’s top network equipment makers Huawei Technologies and its smaller rival, ZTE Corp pose a potential security threat to the US. The US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee said in a report yesterday that US telecommunications operators should not do business with these companies. Chinese spokesman Hong Lei said Chinese technology companies are operation according to the market economy regulations and their business in the US show the mutual benefits in the China – US trade cooperation. Hong Lei said China hopes the US House of Representatives to respect the truth, remove bias, and do more to benefit bilateral economic and trade ties.

Early this month, US President Obama signed a decree to block a Chinese company from owning four wind farm projects near a navy base where the US military tests unmanned drones and electronic-warfare planes.
