(VOVWORLD) - The Party Central Committee on Friday discussed preparations for all-level Party congresses on the threshold of the 2021 National Party Congress.

The Politburo gave opinions on the proposals put forth in the draft documents to be submitted to the National Party Congress.
On Thursday, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong said the documents are crucial, especially a political report which should have a long-term strategic vision.
Lieutenant General Khuat Duy Tien, former Corps 3 Commander, said: “We have high hopes for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress. As people put more hopes and trust in the Party, more careful preparations of the draft documents should be made.”
Vu Mao, former Chief of the National Assembly Office, underscored the need to study the document on renovating the national political system with a focus on reform of the Party, the legislative body, the government, and social organizations.
“I pay much attention to the documents to be submitted to the 13th National Party Congress. The documents should supplement the issues relating to the Party’s directions and policies compatible with Vietnam’s new requirements,” said Mao.
