(VOVworld)-A gala night performance and donation program for veterans and martyr families along the Truong Son Trail opened in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday. The event was to review the first phase of the program  over the past 2 years and to launch the second phase. Nearly 60 billion dongs have been mobilized and hundred of houses have been built for the beneficiaries. During the event, 70 billion dong were registered as donation for the next phase, including the VietinBank’s multi-million dong grant to finance a documentary about the Truong Son Trail. General Tran Hoa is from the program organizer“People nation-wide have shared the Party’s intention and wishes of people along the Truong Son Trail and the border area. The program represents the Party, State and society’s care for people in remote and mountainous area and raise the awareness of national sovereignty protection in border and islands of the country.”
