Since it was issued a decade ago, the Criminal Procedure Code has upheld its role in crime fighting and prevention, helping to ensure public security and social order and create a stable environment for economic development and international integration.
At this meeting, the NA focused on clarifying the obligations and rights of agencies and personnel authorized to carry out proceedings, differentiating between judicial and administrative authority, regulations on evidence, and measures to coerce proceedings.
Deputies also gave opinions to how to ensure the legitimate rights of the accused to defend themselves, proceedings principles during a trial, and prevent the extortion of deposition, corporal punishment, and increase inspection and control procedural activities.
