Efforts exerted to realize 2013 budget collection targets
(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has asked the financial sector to manage to achieve the set targets for budget collection this year without adjusting the budget plans. Speaking at an online conference with cities and central provinces in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said that this year, the world economy remained unstable with hidden risks.

Despite achievements in controlling inflation, stabilizing the macro economy, achieving an appropriate growth and ensuring social security, Vietnam still faces numerous economic challenges and difficulties. Dung said, thanks to efforts of the whole political system, enterprises and the public, the socio-economic situation in the first half of this year has progressed promising the successful implementation of this year’s plan. The macro-economy has been stabilized, inflation controlled, exports increased by 16%, the exchange rate of the forex market remained stable and GDP reached 4.9%. With regards to the tasks for the rest of the year, the Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Finance to work with localities, and enterprises to ensure the adequate collection of the budget. He urged ministries, sectors and localities to seriously implement measures to strengthen budget spending, effectively practice thrift and prevent waste.
