Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said Wednesday he is striving for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hezbollah conflict before the US Presidential election on November 5.
Meanwhile, efforts to promote ceasefires across the region are ongoing. US security officials are expected to visit Egypt and Israel on Thursday, to discuss matters involving Iran, Lebanon, and the release of hostages in Gaza.
