Bill Stepien, a Trump 2020 campaign manager, shared a statement to the Donald J Trump campaign website on Friday afternoon confirming the changes to his schedule.

Previously announced events involving members of the First Family are also being temporarily postponed. All other campaign events will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Stepien said any relevant announcements will be made in the days ahead.

Vice President Mike Pence, who has tested negative for COVID-19, plans on resuming his scheduled campaign events.

CBS News Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Jon LaPook said Friday that one of the key things the White House needs to be transparent about is Mr. Trump's incubation period.

The White House said President Trump will spend a few days at a military hospital.  An  official said the visit was precautionary and that Trump would work from the hospital’s presidential suite, which is equipped to allow him to continue his official duties.
