(VOVworld) – The Party and State will do their best to ensure a sufficient Tet for every Vietnamese, especially poor people and those who have rendered great service to the nation, said Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen.

On the Sunday TV program “People ask, Minister answers”, Ms. Chuyen said: "The government has asked local authorities to ensure a warm and cozy Tet holiday for every single person. Those eligible for government support will receive 2 kinds of Tet support: cash and rice. Localities are asked to prepare a list of eligible beneficiaries and mobilize businesses and private donors to join in this effort."

Ms. Chuyen said local reports showed a 15% increase in Tet bonuses this year.
