(VOVworld) - The European Parliament summit on the refugee crisis has asked member countries to apply a compulsory mechanism on refugee quotas.
Speaking at the summit in Brussels on Wednesday, the EP President Martin Schulz said the quotas were based on objective and transparent criteria regarding demand, family conditions, and the skills of the refugees and the situation in reception countries such as population, GDP, and unemployment rate.
Before that EC President Donald Tusk called on all EU members to end the dispute over refugee quotas and focus on measures to protect their boundaries against the wave of millions of migrants.
