Mr. Tusk said the guidelines will be released within 48 hours after the UK Prime Minister triggers Article 50, which is scheduled for next Wednesday. President Tusk said he respects the UK’s decision, and EU leaders will try to minimize potential loss for the EU and its partners.
He emphasized that the EU’s main priority for the negotiations must be to create as much certainty and clarity as possible for all citizens, companies, and member states who could be negatively affected by Brexit.
