The publication covers two pressing issues that are decisive for the success of Vietnam's development in the next phase: the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The book includes recommendations for the Vietnamese government to improve Vietnam's business environment and legal system, promote trade and investment from Europe, and improve Vietnam's competitiveness in the global market. EuroCham Co-Chairman Nicolas Audier said: “With recommendations in the 11th edition of the Whitebook, we help the Vietnamese government go further and faster on its path of reform. We collected the sectors’ specific recommendations to gather in this edition. The aim of the Whitebook is to share the international experience of our members and to help Vietnam unlock its full potential in business, trade, and investment.”
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son appreciated European businesses’ recommendations reflected in the Whitebook: “The Vietnamese government applauds the EuroCham’s continuous effort and recommendations in the Whitebook. We believe that the success of EuroCham members is ours. We assure that the Vietnamese government will act to improve the investment environment and tighten relations with the EU and the European business community.”
At the launch of the Whitebook, issues and recommendations from the EuroCham were discussed in three topics - healthcare, tax and customs environment, and sustainable growth.
