Head of the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Policy Department, Lucie Vondrackova, expected the agreement to yield major benefits for both, especially the removal of 99% of tariffs for businesses from both sides. This will create opportunities for Czech exports of textile, glassware, automobile, food and chemicals to Vietnam. The EVFTA will facilitate the EU realization of its market access priority to the ASEAN as it was the EU’s 3rd largest trade partner.
