The meeting is part of the national action month for HIV/AIDS prevention, the national action month for gender equality and prevention of gender-based violence, the UNiTE 2024 campaign, and the 16-day global campaign to end gender-based violence that ran from November 25, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to December 10, which is the International Human Rights Day.
This year, World AIDS Day and the UNiTE 2024 campaign were united under the theme “Fairness and Equality”, combining efforts to end HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence.
