(VOVWORLD) - Hai Phong city and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have pledged to enhance economic and trade ties, with a particular focus on seaports, railways, industrial development, and cultural exchange.

During a meeting on February 18 in Hai Phong with Mr. Chen Gang, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Secretary of the CPC Committee of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee, highlighted that the Vietnamese government has approved the establishment of the Hai Phong Southern Coastal Economic Zone, spanning approximately 20,000 hectares as a sustainable development model for green growth and a circular economy.
He also proposed stronger collaboration in maritime trade, industrial park development, export processing, and logistics services.
Mr. Chen Gang expressed Guangxi’s commitment to deepening economic and trade partnerships, focusing on seaport and railway connectivity, as well as industrial support.
As part of this cooperation, a signing ceremony was held for a Framework Agreement between Lach Huyen International Deepwater Port Industrial Park and Logistics Joint Stock Company and BEIBU GULF HOLDING (HONG KONG) CO. LIMITED.
