(VOVworld) – More than 100 singers and musicians participated in the Don ca tai tu, music of the talented, festival of southern provinces held in Long An at the weekend.

A performance at the ceremony to receive UNESCO's recognition of Don ca tai tu as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

The artists came from 11 Clubs in Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Vinh Long, Can Tho, and Ho Chi Minh city. During the festival, 3 Don ca tai tu singers of Long An province were granted the title “folklore artists”. The participants performed traditional and new songs in praise of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh and reflecting national reforms.

On the sidelines, there was a photo and biography exhibition of Don ca tai tu artists, the history of the art form, and Long An province’s socio-economic achievements.
