(VOVworld) – The first Vietnam Forest Festival will open in the southern province of Dong Nai next November to introduce Vietnam’s forest resources and assert their importance to human life. The event, themed “Forest – the sacred treasure”, will take place over three days at the Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve and is expecting 2,000 visitors.

According to Tran Quang Toai, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the festival will feature cultural performances, sports activities, and culinary shows. Festivities will raise public awareness of the need for forest and bio-diversity protection and help local authorities publicize new forest-related tourism products.
