Five killed in stampede at Algiers rap concert
(VOVWORLD) - At least 5 people died and 100 injured in a stampede at a rap concert in Algiers, Algeria on Thursday night. Victims were from 20 to 25 years old, said Nassim Bernaoui, Head of Algerian Civil Protection Department.

He added that 40 were taken to hospital, of whom eight were in critical condition. The crush took place as fans thronged the entrance of the stadium where Algerian rapper Soolking was to perform. The 4-hour concert, Soolking’s first project after getting popular since last year, was fully carried on 30 minutes afterwards.
