(VOVworld) - A four-party meeting on Ukraine is being organized and may take place next Thursday. Earlier, EU diplomatic sources said a four-party meeting could take place next week with anticipated members being US Secretary of State John Kerry, EU High Representative on Foreign and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deshchytsia.

Russia says it will attend the meeting only if it helps Kiev foster contacts with all political and regional forces inside the country. Lavrov said Moscow is waiting for clarification of the meeting’s goals while reiterating Russia’s proposal of an open dialogue with the participation of all political and regional forces in Ukraine to seek an agreement on constitutional reform.
