At a press conference on Thursday following talks in Paris, the two ministers said the siege of Aleppo, where 300,000 people are trapped, violates the Munich truce agreement and makes it impossible for peace negotiations to resume. They called for a cessation of hostilities towards the establishment of a transitional authority to steer Syria.
They said Russia should persuade the government of President Bashar Al-Assad to halt the violence and return to the negotiating table.
