(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a monthly government meeting for May on Wednesday in Hanoi. For the first time, cabinet members discussed the issue of building and improving the governing bodies.

PM Phuc reiterated his determination to build a government of action, creativity, and integrity to better serve the people. He also asked ministers to continue working on law building. He called on the Minister of Justice and Head of the Government Office to chair inter-ministerial meetings on law building.  Mr. Phuc said this task should be carried out in a transparent manner by collecting opinions from the experts and the general public.  

At the meeting, cabinet members discussed the draft law on irrigation, and draft ordinances on seedlings and breeds, while addressing problems of capital payment in national target programs and a report on the state budget balance for 2016.

Later on, after listening to opinions from cabinet members, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc ordered not to raise retail prices of electricity and road fees in order to control inflation.
