Ha Giang’s 2023 Mong panpipe festival to feature various cultural events
(VOVWORLD) - The Mong panpipe festival and a culinary festival featuring dishes from northern, central, and southern region of Vietnam will open in Ha Giang province on Friday.
The event will highlight panpipe performances which have been preserved for hundreds of years by the Mong ethnic minority.
Dong Van, Meo Vac, Yen Minh, and Quan Ba districts will launch assorted cultural events, folk games, and new tourist products.
The festival aims to honour the panpipe and panpipe performances, which play an important role in the spiritual life of the Mong ethnic group in Ha Giang.
It also provides a meeting venue for local ethnic groups to introduce their cultural features including customs and cuisine as well as the tourism potential of Ha Giang.
