(VOVWORLD) - Ha Long city in Quang Ninh provice, overlooking the World Natural Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay, is inviting visitors to its winter carnival, slated for Friday.

The carnival will begin at 4pm at the Tuan Chau international tourism area, and will feature 1,000 performers. The highlights of the festival will be an open stage facing Ha Long Bay, and a parade of over 100 cruise ships, helicopters, seaplanes, and paragliders.
“We want to boost domestic tourism and attract more visitors to Quang Ninh province," said Mr. Dinh Huu Chau, Vice President of Tuan Chau group.
"Preparations are almost finished. We will conduct thorough rehearsals on Wednesday and Thursday to make sure the event comes off smoothly.”
