(VOVworld) – Hai Duong province province held its 16^th Party Congress on Tuesday. National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung praised the province’s achievements, particularly in building new rural areas and consolidating national unity over the last 5 years. He urged the province to work harder to become one of 20 provinces with the highest per capita incomes in Vietnam and a truly modern industrial province.

Thai Nguyen province held its 19^th Party Congress on the same day.

Addressing the event, Secretary of the Party Central Committee To Huy Rua said: “The province should focus on restructuring the economy to increase growth, attracting more investment in infrastructure development, and improve planning. The province should also increase regional connectivity to become a fully an industrial province.”

Mr. Rua asked the province to pay more attention to Party building and uphold the people’s trust in the Party’s leadership.
