Ms. Ly Nhu Hao from Binh Thanh district said the prices of essential goods at supermarkets are now stable. “I bought vegetable and fish. It’s just a little bit more expensive than usual. The social distancing only lasts for 15 days so I’m not worried much,” Hao said.
Saigon Co.op supermarket chains offer 12 groups of essential goods with unchanged prices within 1 to 3 months. Its CEO Nguyen Anh Duc said they can guarantee the supply including online purchase. He said, “There is no shortage of supply. We have worked with the local authorities to make sure that customers can shop at our supermarkets with best COVID-19 preventive measures.”
