HCM City boosts cooperation with Russia’s provinces

(VOVworld) - A delegation from the Russian State Duma paid a working visit to Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday to explore cooperation opportunities.
The delegation was led by First Vice President of the State Duma and Vice President of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Melnikov Ivan Ivanovich.
Le Thanh Hai, the Municipal Party Committee Secretary, said that over the years, the city has had good relations with Saint Petersburg and a number of other Russian cities. Hai added that the local authorities will do their best to boost existing ties and strengthen the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.
Melnikov said that relations between the provinces of Vietnam and Russia play a key role in the countries’ bilateral ties. Russia’s Duma will continue to help Russian provinces expand their cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City and other cities in Vietnam.
