(VOVworld) – A conference to review Ho Chi Minh City’s implementation of the national new rural development program over the past 5 years opened on Friday.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh hailed the municipal government and people’s solidarity and determination to implement the program: "I believe that the municipal Party Committee, government, and people will reap more achievements in new rural development. The city is expected to continue taking the lead in national agricultural production and fulfill its targets of becoming a civilized and modern city under the name of President Ho Chi Minh."
