A candle lighting ceremony takes place at A1 National Martyrs Cemetery in Dien Bien province.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dien Bien province held a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at A1 National Martyrs Cemetery. Representatives from the provincial People’s Council, agencies, and organizations laid wreaths and offered incense at the cemetery.

Similar activities were conducted by the Youth Union of Ha Giang province at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery.

A ceremony to honor heroic martyrs took place at Phuoc Son martyrs cemetery in Quang Nam province on Tuesday. Quang Nam authorities presented gifts to more than 100,000 people who rendered great service to the revolution and carried out other activities to help policy beneficiary families and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

Phan Tu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Duy Xuyen district, said that the local Youth Union is hosting many activities to honor heroic martyrs this week, such as cleaning cemeteries and martyrs' monuments, and having reunion meals at the homes of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

This year, Quang Nam has budgeted more than 1.3 million USD to support 100,000 families who have rendered service to the revolution, and has given gifts to 65,000 policy beneficiary families and Heroic Mothers.

The Quang Tri Youth Union held a candle lighting ceremony and an art program called "Aspirations for peace" at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery.

Quang Ninh province repaired and upgraded five local martyrs cemeteries and gave 17,600 gifts worth more than 780,000 USD to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy beneficiary families, Agent Orange victims, and people who rendered great service to the nation.
