(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese delegation led by Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Le Hong Anh arrived in Vientiane, Laos on Tuesday to attend celebrations marking Laos’ 40^th National Day on December 2^nd. The delegation was welcomed by Lao Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone, Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong, and National Assembly Chairman Pany Yathotu.

Art performance to mark Laos' 40th National Day

Mr. Le Hong Anh congratulated Lao leaders on Laos’ achievements over the past 40 years, especially during Laos’ 30 years of renewal, adding that those achievements will serve as a foundation for Laos to enter a new stage of development. He reiterated Vietnam and Laos’ special friendship and comprehensive cooperation, which are important for both nations, and pledged that Vietnam will do its utmost to promote the two countries’ bilateral ties.

Laos’ leaders said that the Lao government and people highly value their ties with Vietnam and will do their best to further develop their relationship.
