(VOVworld) - The Ho Chi Minh City Book Street will be officially opened on Nguyen Van Binh street, District 1 this Saturday.

This is a fixed and long-term book-themed space to promote the reading habit. The street is also a playground for publishers and authors to exchange experience and introduce their most favorites to readers. Areas will also be zoned for book and newspaper exhibitions and the exchange of rare publications.
 Several activities on weekends or holidays will include story telling contests, figurine painting, and book illustration drawing. The street gathers a number of popular publishers such as Kim Dong, Nha Nam, Thai Ha Books, First News, and Alphabooks, etc.
