(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh City wishes to deepen its relationship with the US, said Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Le Thanh Hai on Tuesday while receiving Caroline Atkinson, US Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics.

Over the years, US investment in Ho Chi Minh city has grown in services, finance, banking, insurance, and high technology.

Atkinson said her visit to Vietnam is of great importance, particularly when the two countries have elevated their relationship to a comprehensive partnership. She went on to say that the US wants the comprehensive partnership to develop strongly with an early completion of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement. Atkinson added that US companies with experience in different fields can support the implementation of projects in Vietnam.
